CIRQUE DU SOLEIL: LUZIA, a waking dream of Mexico

Attended the opening night of LUZIA, a waking dream of Mexico by Cirque du Soleil. This was my first time attending a show by Cirque du Soleil so I didn’t have anything to compare it too. Nevertheless, I was blown away by the incredible acrobatic performances and visual surprises of the show. It was an incredible theatrical experience and a pleasure to watch from beginning to end. It offered a rich visual experience of the sounds and places of both modern and traditional Mexico.

The show had several highlights. A few of my favourite acts were the Russian contortionist, the Cyr wheel performers, and the aerial straps artist. As the show progressed, the risk level heightened, thus I was holding my breath and gasping for the majority of the second half of the show.
