Fun Things To Do In The Fall

It’s a bittersweet feeling knowing that we are on the brink of the warmer days coming to an end. Fall is in full force and I am excited about all the fun things to do in the fall.

Similar to the other seasons, summer was interesting this year. Although those of us on the west coast didn’t get to live out the last few days of summer in the sun, I am grateful the smoke in Washington has cleared up and we can open our windows for some fresh air again.

These pictures were taken by Victoria Saperstein in Central Park during my trip to New York City last year.

Here are some fun things to do in the fall,

Visit a Pumpkin Patch and/or a Corn Maze

This is the most synonymous activity with the fall season. call ahead for closures.

Camping/Glamping Trip

This time is perfect for the outdoors before temperatures further drop so a little one on one time with nature overnight is a good idea.

Try Seasonal Recipes

It’s officially pumpkin spice season. Apple cider and pumpkin-inspired food and drinks. Warm cider, pie, pumpkin spice latte are great things to spice up the regular menu.

Go on A Hike

It may be colder, muddy, and wet but fall hikes are still great. It’s a great way to get some physical activity going and you may even get to see fall foliage depending on where you go. If you’re in Seattle, I have listed the most scenic hikes in Washington state you can visit.

Bon Fires

There is nothing like cozying around the fire as the temperatures continue to drop. It’s a good way to spend intimate time with our friends and loved ones all while being warm. If you live on the west coast, please refer to burn restrictions in your state.

Decorate with a Fall Flaire

Welcome the season by decorating. You can bring the warm color of fall inside by adding a few accents to your decor or go full out by adding shapes and textures that add dimension.

Take a Fall Foliage Drive

No better way to experience the radiance of fall by taking a drive through roads of trees with hues of gold, orange, and red.

Cabin Trips

Spend a weekend in the woods for much-needed nature therapy, rest, and resetting. I recently did a cabin retreat and it was a rejuvenating experience.
